Richmond, VA hip hop artists Alfred, AfroCat, Bien, Jake Barkley, Sha Shakusky, and MNLOV came to Rochester, NY last weekend to celebrate the release of Sha’s record RIP Ma’s & Pa’s. They spoke about a friend named Big Kahuna OG, a fellow Richmond rapper and hip hop producer. This record is absolutely fire – the flows and beats go together so well that many of my friends thought it was a big name rapper. Spread the love!
TOKiMONSTA is an Asian instrumental hip hop producer from L.A. She has collaborated with Anderson Paak and Kool Keith in her career. Here is her most recent collab from her album Fovere.
This is a producer taking Kanye to a whole new level. Bravo, well done.
Rap and daytime disco blended together – not sure I’ve ever been mind blown like this.
Dave B is a fairly new rapper who makes chill rap for the high. I like his aesthetic, as it doesn’t leave me wanting more. Saving this one for the road trips.
Mac Miller is due to drop a new album. He isn’t good but Anderson Paak helps pick up the dirt.
Noname dropped an album yesterday. Here’s a snippet.
The words “Aesop Rock” and “new release” in one sentence is like sex. Aesop is back with an ill track “Rings.” Bump to it bruhs.
Aesop Rock is probably my favorite rapper of all time. His flow is ridiculous and beats are insane. Here is an old, unreleased track that may be his most dark track.
